Disney social amnesia5/16/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() After Lilo and Stitch discovered how to reverse 303's amnesia effects via Jumba's computer, a dismayed Gantu set the experiment free. Gantu wanted to come along too, but Lilo was unsure of him after learning that he was actually an evil experiment hunter. Lilo and Stitch then decided to team up to get their memories back. They later ran into Jumba and Pleakley, where 303 wiped both of their memories as well, but not before they explained to Lilo, Stitch, and Gantu exactly who was on whose team. With their memories erased, Lilo and Gantu (dubbed Martha and Lenny) went after Stitch and also did recreational activities together at some point. ![]() Stitch, however, reverted to his original programming, while Lilo and Gantu assumed he was an escaped convict. Plagued with amnesia, Lilo and Gantu decided to team up and figure out what to do with the captured experiment. Lilo, Stitch, and Gantu were soon fighting over the captive experiment, which shortly ended with 303 wiping all three of their memories, leaving the trio dazed. Grabbing a butterfly net, Stitch climbed a telephone pole to try to ensnare 303 as the latter perched on a power line, but he was instead captured in a containment orb by Gantu. Gantu and 303's presence caught the attention of Lilo and Stitch. Later, Gantu tracked 303 down but found it quite difficult to subdue the latter while he was airborne, as he managed to successfully evade all of Gantu's plasma blasts. Meanwhile, Lilo and Stitch handed out homemade invitations to the former's birthday party. A small wave then splashed over the castle, activating 303, which caused the boy to flee the beach in terror.ģ03 then proceeded to erase people's memories, including a married couple whose wife clashed with her husband after losing her memory. Thinking the pod was a marble, the boy put it on top of his sand castle. 303 and the other first 624 experiments were deactivated and smuggled to Earth by Jumba during his mission to capture Experiment 626.Īll of the experiment pods were released and scattered across the island of Kauai.ģ03's pod was used as a ping-pong ball by Keoni and another player until it got whacked off the table and into a little boy's bucket of sand. Amnesio is a small, blue beetle/cicada-like experiment with a round body, two thick arms, two thick legs, a purple mark on his stomach, two large wings on his back with purple spots on them, a round face with large black eyes, a little mouth, and two thin antennae.Īmnesio can produce a red laser vision from his eyes that erases the memories of anyone hit in the eyes. ![]()

Netspot alternative5/16/2023 ![]() ![]() Best Hosted Endpoint Protection and Security Software.LMS | News Blackboard Buys Out Moodlerooms, NetSpotīlackboard is buying out two major players in the open source services space: Moodlerooms and NetSpot. We've come to depend on Wi-Fi as a way to work and play on our phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, home video game consoles, and a myriad other products. NetSpot, a free Mac utility from Etwok, lets you scan your immediate area for Wi-Fi signals and view related information such as open and closed signals, dead zones, and more.Īs such, it's important to have a strong, dependable signal to transfer data. More importantly, NetSpot has a drawing tool that lets you map a Wi-Fi-friendly floor plan in your home or office, so that you can arrange your router and electronics in such as fashion that you'll receive strong throughput. The NetSpot Experience NetSpot is used in one of two ways: as a simple Wi-Fi detector (with color-coded readouts in the left column) or as an advanced tool for arranging your router and hardware to create the strongest network possible. When I fired up NetSpot, it quickly picked up dozens of signals (both in the lab and beyond), and identified the strength of each, whether or not they were open or password-protected, SSID, and more. ![]() If you want to see where the signals are the strongest and weakest within your immediate vicinity, NetSpot can help with that, too. When you click a spot on the screen (which can either be a blank or populated with a generic floor plan), NetSpot scans the area for available wireless networks. NetSpot then prompts you to walk around the area while carrying your laptop so that you can see the various strengths in different areas of the room. As such, this mapping feature isn't very useful to desktop computer users. That said, I like that you can even add measurement information so that you can draw floor plans to scale-very cool. Once you identify the dead points in your home or office (and their sizes) you can remedy the problem by physically relocating your router or purchasing a repeater to give your wireless signal a boost. In the last couple of weeks, I’ve been sitting down and writing some most every day, for about 20 mins to 1.5 hrs, and have produced between 250 to 2000 words. They say on their site that 50,000 words is more a novella than an actual novel, and I’m certainly not expecting my effort to be a final, publishable draft (far from it), or even a full novel. I’m planning on taking that challenge, more for the discipline of writing every day. ![]() Is it that people are trying to write a “valid” 50,000-word novel in one month, and that’s too few words, in too short a time, to be any good? I’d agree with that. I guess I’m not quite sure what your gripe is against NaNoWriMo. I view NaNoWriMo as literary training wheels: Mighty helpful when you’re just learning to ride, but you won’t need them forever. Once you’ve got the discipline to start a novel, and to ignore your internal editor and see it through to the end no matter how bad that first draft is, you no longer need it. I did NaNoWriMo three times, which turned out to be one too many. “Dare to suck” is a common bit of advice I hear from writers. Shutting up that internal editor is important if one’s going to complete what one starts. Writing fifty thousand words in thirty days means the internal editor has to be shut up, or at least bought off. The social element of thousands of other people doing it at the same time provides encouragement and reinforcement.Ī second important element of NaNoWriMo is daring to suck. NaNoWriMo, in my view, can be a first step toward developing that discipline. ![]() It doesn’t matter if someone’s never written before, it doesn’t matter if someone’s got a bunch of short stories published, tackling a long project takes daily discipline. NaNoWriMo is a tool to get people motivated to set aside those distractions and actually write. However, because writing’s a solitary activity, it’s all too easy for everyday trivia to pull one away from a project after a chapter or two. I disagree conditionally, and I’ll tell ya why: There are many people who keep telling themselves they’ll write a book someday. 250 words a day will give you breathing room and let your writing improve.Ģ50 words a days is all you need. It gives you time to read the authors you love so you can look at how they line words up and get to the root of what you love about their work. Those 250 words will, if you are consistent about writing every day or on a regular schedule, out-do any day’s work on a NaNoWriMo binge.Ģ50 words a day gives you room to do research. But you will have thought about those 250 words and done your best to make them count. Now, if you are a beginner, that novel might not be any good. In other words, you will have a full-length novel. If you write 250 words a day, at the end of a year you will have over 90,000 words. So you want to write a novel? Bag NaNoWriMo. Guaranteed that a lot of those attendees busily typing away for the cameras are not concentrating on the words but rather are thinking, “hey wow! I’m doing it! I’m really writing a novel!” Writing is a solitary effort that pays off when you pay close attention to what you are doing. Most cities host writing events and there’s plenty of fanfare as people kick off their novels in coffee shops and bookstores.ĭon’t get sucked in. ![]() Some writers liked the sense of cameraderie they can get from NaNoWriMo. Blasting through a novel at over 1000 words a day means that you will get a lot of crap and at the end of the experiment you will have 50,000 words, far too short for any market today. Writing requires steady, consistent effort. If you are interested in writing a novel and have never tried, you probably think NaNoWriMo is just the ticket to give you the jumpstart you need. November is coming and that means NanoWriMo is closing in fast. Happy writing! (But remember to write in December too.) ![]() It’s working, but I’m not trying to get 1,500 words a day, and I’m doing what I always have done - routine, steady writing.Īre you doing Nano this year? Good. It’s for a very specific project, in which I am working on a writing team, so to speak, and we decided to use Nano as a way to be accountable. Writing is a muscle - it benefits from daily exercise. I look at my writing practice and really, while I have done what I call “writing with my eyes closed” thing, my work has been really about routine, steady, writing. I reread this post and I think, boy, I was all about prescriptivism back then. But this is the post that started it all, including a mention on TIME’s website and an interview on NPR. The funny thing is, ha ha, guess what I’m doing this year? Yep. It’s another Throwback Thursday! Wireless backup camera for car5/16/2023 ![]() ![]() As it's a wireless camera, you should have no problem attaching the camera (with built-in wireless transmitter) to the back of your car or mounting the suction-cup-enabled screen on your dashboard. If you want easy installation and great picture quality, the Auto-Vox CS-2 offers the best of both worlds. And be sure to continue reading for some pro tips on picking the right rear camera system for you. Here are our picks for the best backup cameras in a variety of categories, based on expert opinions and consumer ratings. You can always upgrade your backup cam - you might even be able to add an additional camera to an existing system if you've got the technical know-how to wire it properly or know someone who does. Just because you have a rearview camera, though, doesn't mean you're stuck with it. Most will at least have a grid of lines that appears on the screen to provide context for how close you are to objects in view. Some of the best backup cameras have a sensor that produces a beeping sound when your car gets close to another object. Some backup cameras give you a simple rear view, while others use a wide angle or even a series of cameras to simulate a bird's-eye view of your car and its surroundings (especially useful for a large vehicle). All you need to do is attach the backup camera to the rear of your car (preferably as close to the center of the car as possible) and send the footage to a monitor attached to a console display, your dashboard or an inset screen on your rearview mirror, giving you better visibility with no straining to see your blind spots while going in reverse. There are plenty of aftermarket cameras designed for these older vehicles that you can install yourself. Many of us are still driving vehicles made before 2018, but don't fret if you're feeling left out. Investing in a backup camera is a safe and affordable way to improve your visibility while driving and can help in situations where you are parallel parking or checking for blind spots. Some of the best backup cameras can be integrated with your dash cam. It's a great purchase for anyone who drives, especially because it adds another layer of safety that you can't have enough of. That's why you're able to purchase a backup camera that you can install yourself. New cars are required to have backup cameras installed in them before they leave the factory, but not everyone can afford the luxury of a brand-new 2023 model vehicle. ![]() Quiet relaxing piano music keys5/16/2023 ![]() ![]() I know it’s not what you want to hear, but the best way to get good at playing a piece fast is by first going slow. If you’re working on one of the pieces I mentioned above (or any fast piece) and you’re trying to get it up to speed, the biggest tip I have is the opposite of what you might expect… However, a lot of times even slow pieces will include fast sections. ![]() To be totally honest, I prefer slow pieces to fast ones. So maybe you watched all of those videos in amazement…wondering how in the world do people play that fast? Get Sheet Music Tips for Playing Fast Piano Pieces It is the prelude that is the fast piece-the fugue, on the other hand, slows down a bit and sounds like a more typical Bach piece. In the recording below, you will be able to hear both the prelude and the fugue. Last in our list (but definitely not least) a fast piano piece by Bach! This is another fast piece that is more dark and intense than it is beautiful. The major section is toward the middle of the piece, and more time to breathe is usually taken during it. The minor section is typically the part that is played very fast. I love how this piece includes both major and minor sections. The last Chopin piece I want to show you is the Fantasy Impromptu in C# minor. Chopin Fantasy Impromptu in C# minor Opus 66 However, it also has one prominent, overarching melody that should be louder than all those arpeggios! Make sure to listen to the end because the ending is so pretty! Opus 25 Number 1 is written in A flat major and includes many fast arepeggios. Many of the Chopin Etudes are fast paced-so I just had to include a second one that is a bit more on the happy side. Chopin Etude in A Flat Major Opus 25 No 1 You won’t find any happy, major sections here! Now we need to get into fast piano pieces written by Chopin (one of my all time favorite composers!) Written in C Sharp Minor, this Etude is a fairly short because of how fast it is played! I would say it is pretty passionate and intense as well. In contrast to the dreamlike nature of Ravel, let’s take a listen this bold, very real-feeling piece called “The Flight of the Bumblebee.” Isn’t amazing how music can capture so many different experiences? This song sounds just like a bumblebee…and one that is flying extremely fast too! □ It is definitely an impressionist piece, which is what I love! As you listen to this piece, you may have feelings of sadness, dreamy relaxation, confusion, and more as Ravel captures all of these so well. ![]() While some of Ravel’s pieces are slower and beautiful, Jeux d’eau is more difficult and very fast paced. Get ready to be wowed! Next up we have an extraordinary piece called Jeux d’eau composed by Maurice Ravel in 1901. (Skip to around 3:12 in the video below to hear this section!) While most of the piece is quite loud and intense, I think personally my favorite part is the long, soft trill section with a mournful melody. Here is another piece in Lizst’s Grandes études series! This is the last one in the series, number 6, and it is also very technically difficult and fast. In fact, it is considered one of the most difficult piano pieces to play! Many advanced techniques, paired with the fast tempo, are the reason for that. ![]() The Paganini Etude Number 3, called La Campanella, is both fast and very difficult. Up next, we have to take a listen to some pieces written by Lizst. See if you can listen for all the fast trills and repeated notes! Scarlatti may be a lesser known composer, but he has some fast pieces as well! This Sonate in D minor is one that stands out. I myself have actually played this piece! It is definitely more on the happy side when compared to the Moonlight Sonata (although it includes sad minor sections as well!) One thing I love about this piece is that it has some slower sections played in contrast with the fast ones. In this Sonata, it is the first movement that is the fast one. Beethoven “Waldstein” SonataĪnother fast piece written by Beethoven is called the Waldstein Sonata. It is extremely intense with an overall minor theme, and includes many arepeggiated chords (which are obviously played very fast!) The Moonlight Sonata is one of the most famous Sonatas Beethoven wrote, making it a fitting piece to begin with! The third movement, “Presto Agitato” is the fast movement. Beethoven Moonlight Sonata ‘Presto Agitato’ In this post I want to show you 11 amazing fast piano pieces from all sorts of musical time periods!Īt the end, I will also give you some tips for learning to play fast on the piano, so be sure to stick around for that. They’re both relatively simple questions, but the devil is in the details. ![]() How to decrypt (and therefore also how to encrypt). We therefore need to decide on two things: The stub, as mentioned, is the decrypter and executer, as illustrated above. If you try to tackle them all at the same time it can get kind of confusing, so my recommendation is to start with the design of the stub. You basically need an encrypter, decrypter/executer (the stub) and some way to bundle the encrypted payload with the stub. The combiner - Takes the stub and the encrypted payload, and combines them in a manner that generates a valid executable or script. The stub - A chunk of code or a binary that accepts an encrypted payload, decrypting it and executing it.The encrypter - Takes an input payload and generates a stub-compatible encrypted payload.Don’t worry, they’re not very difficult to create.
